Pisces Season (February 20 - March 19)

Pisces is the twelfth and final sign of the zodiac, therefore it is the natural ruler of the Twelfth House. Pisces is the mutable water sign ruled classically by Jupiter and its modern ruler Neptune, mythical god of the sea, symbolized by two fish swimming in opposing directions and associated with the color pale green.

Zodiac Sign Characteristics

Dualities: Astrological duality has to do with how much masculine and feminine energy each sign expresses. This is not related to the concepts of gender that exist today; it's simply used to describe how each sign expresses their energy. In the context of astrology, masculine energy, or yang, is assertive, structured, and action-oriented,while the feminine, or yin, is intuitive, receptive, and flowing.

Fire & Air Signs are masculine and Earth & Water are feminine.

Elements: Each sign is associated with one of the four main elements: Earth, air, fire, or water. This elemental association influences how the sign behaves. You may have heard someone say that they're a "water sign." They're referring to the element that's paired with their Sun sign.

Fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) are known to be passionate, creative, assertive, and rcactionary. They're the quickest sign to jump into action mode, sometimes before thinking things through.

Earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) move slowly and deliberately, weighing all options before taking action. They're known to be steady, grounded, sensual, and in tune with their bodies.

Air signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) are quick-witted, both flighty and deep thinkers. They're excellent communicators but tend to overthink or intellectualize before taking action.

Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) are intuitive, known for their depth of emotions. They tend to experience the world through their complex feelings, looking for safety before taking action.

Modalities: These are also called the three qualities: cardinal, fixed, and mutable. Cardinal signs are associated with initiation and creativity; fixed signs are asso-ciated with determination and individuality; mutable signs are associated with adaptability and resourcefulness.

Not all fire signs are created equal. That goes for earth, air, and water signs, too! This is where modalities swoop in to add depth to each sign. Think of it this way: the element lays the groundwork for a sign and the modality builds on it, giving it even more char-acter and purpose. For example, there are three fire signs: Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius. Aries is a cardinal fire sign, Leo is a fixed fire sign, and Sagittarius is a mutable fire sign.

Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) are immovable when they have made their minds up. Change may be challenging for these signs, but finishing what they've started is their specialty. They are here to model fortitude and longevity.

Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces) are all about evolution. They are the most flexible group of signs and offer us shining examples of growth when they are given the lecwray to change and adapt.
